Growing up in Ontario and spending every summer at a lake fostered my love of animals and nature in general.
Photography developed my eye for composition and lighting and led to an appreciation of art and a desire to paint.
Being fortunate enough to live in a thriving arts community in Muskoka fuels my inspiration. I’m grateful for the support
I receive from family and friends and that I finally listened to the voice in my heart rather than my head and started creating!
Initially self-taught, I later attended the AGO for their drawing and painting courses, before meeting a wonderful mentor who's guidance took my art to the next level.
A fabulous art retreat in France in 2015 provided the experience of painting with wonderful artists from all over the world.
My art is now entered in juried shows and I have the pleasure of seeing it displayed (and selling) in Auburn Gallery in Muskoka.
I just need to paint!
I want to express my passion through painting.
My hope is that my art stirs emotion and memories that bring enjoyment to the viewer.
In May 2018 I displayed my '72 Series of hockey paintings at the General Meeting of this group of hockey writers and historians in Parry Sound, Ontario. It was a lot of fun to share my experience painting this series with people who relate to my passion.
